COVID-19 hospitalizations down again in New Hampshire; 4 new deaths

 But number of active cases tops 6,000 again

 

The number of current hospitalizations dropped has again in New Hampshire.

According to the New Hampshire Hospital Association, there are 174 people with COVID-19 in Granite State hospitals.

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services is also reporting four new deaths.

There are 1,150 new confirmed cases, including 747 for Wednesday and 403 from prior days.

The seven-day average for daily new cases fell again from 743 to 725.

Officials have said that COVID-19 case numbers were expected to decline in part because of the rise in the use of at-home COVID-19 tests. People who test positive at home are not required to report a positive result to health officials.

The number of active infections increased by 246 to 6,064.
